Flikr/creativecommons/FlyGuy92586
Air America’s Convention Special Coverage team heads to Invesco Mile High Stadium. David Bender, our political guru hosts, (and let me tell you, you don’t’ know a political guru until you know David Bender), with Air America’s Thom Hartmann, Rachel Maddow, Jon Elliott and Mark Green right in the thick of it, giving you the Air America take on Barack Obama’s historic night. We’re all feeling good, we’ve adjusted to the altitude and we’re breathing in the clear Rocky Mountain Air. Scheduled to appear tonight are DNC Chairman Howard Dean, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and Graham Nash.
This team is fired up and ready to go! Watch or listen to us live at www.airamerica.com.

You and your sock puppet can just go suck McCain's wrinkled little nutsack. The Dems had a huge success this week. There were no riots because you fucking crackers were all too fat, too poor or too cowardly to go to Denver. And tonight, Barack Obama is going to blow everyone out of the water.
Can't take it, can ya bebe? But it's OK. I'm sure you can find a rerun of "The Torkelsons" someplace.

They're totally unoriginal. They look just like the ones in Denver's Civic Center Park. By dewbie dubaiAugust 28, 2008 - 8:34pmSo far at this convention
I've mostly enjoyed listening to the average person speak the most. I don't see things in black and white. Almost every politician at the convention makes me groan from time to time during their speeches. But I also am aware of many of their good qualities. The average person I know nothing about so I can just listen.
This union representative just spoke of jobs being sent overseas. I can't help but remember the great sucking sound brought about by leaders of both parties by enacting NAFTA. But that is really the corporate party which transcends both parties. We need to take back the democratic party from the corporations.
On the bright side there was an article in The Hill that reported lobbyists have much less of a role at this convention. many didn't attend this one. And they say it is Obama's policy on how the convention would be run that caused this.
I'm not sure if this positive step is because Obama feels so strongly about getting rid of lobbyists or if he is responding to the public pressure of the awakening citizens. Either way it is a good sign.
- Email this page
By f u bush2August 28, 2008 - 8:35pmIronically,
The union leader was speaking at the convention of the party that passed NAFTA, just the day following another Slick Willy swoon session, though he was the president that advocated for and signed NAFTA.
It is sickening to see the Democrats continue to bow down to the dude that republicanized their party.
I agree this is a step in the right direction. Let's hope Obama governs similarly.

I really can't wait for this election to be over. I feel like there is an unwritten rule that we should all play dumb and pretend the democratic party is shiny and perfect. I feel I can support Obama and an increase in leadership of congress for the dems and still point out when something pisses me off about individual politicians and the party in general. Furthermore unlike the black and white republicans who never say a bad word about their own, I have always felt that I could acknowledge the good and bad in each individual and after adding it all up decide to support the candidate or not.
However at this moment if you don't fall in line and only give praise you must be kooky. When this election is over maybe we can go back to being free thinking liberals?
While I'm being frank I'll point out that I'm sure Obama will let me down by not pursuing the crimes of Bush and just "moving on" like Bill Clinton did with Iran Contra. Yes I know all about the promising Obama quotes that suggest I'm wrong. And I hope I am. But if I had to wager I would say we are not at the point yet where the dems have that much of a spine. Does that mean I don't support Obama? No. I can rattle off many positives about him off the top of my head. But the key issues to me are ones the democratic party for some reason will not address aggressively.

From now until November, Obama should go back to the largest venues he can manage when speaking publicly. After watching the convention tonight, it is impressive that one person can bring this large of a crowd just for speaking. It is important for this to continue to permeate the corporate media, so those less attentive will see how many fellow Americans are supporting Obama, regardless of the corporate media polls.
Let the Republicans and their fascist media network whine and cry to the hilt for all I care. There is one thing that we will have more than any fascist corporate oligarchy will ever have and that is numbers. Let's show them.

Four days of Dem success in Denver. Speech after speech hitting every issue just right, followed by Obama completely re-framing the discussion in such a way, that when Crash calls him traitor he will just sound foolish.
All this and NO "Operation Chaos?" NONE of those Denver riots that Fatso and Weiner and Mikey Reegun called for? PLUS, all your good christian prayers for floods in downtown Denver, resulted in a beautiful summer evening for Obama's gutting of Crash?

Prior to the Dem primary, Huff always advocated for the right side of the fence, and even when supporting Hill, still had his heart in the right place.
I don't understand why some Democrats can't see the Clintons for what they really are, but I hope to see Huff back in the saddle soon.
