Looks Like it is the “Trust Fund Ticket” For the GOP
With reports that Mitt Romney is getting secret service protection, it looks like the net worth of the two candidate for national office on the Republican ticket will be close to half a billion dollars in net worth with John McCain’s wealth added into the equation.
So it looks like it will be the “Trust Fund Ticket” for the Republicans — who will continue the Republican ideology of, if you got it, you should get even more. If you don’t have it, well either you didn’t marry right or didn’t have the right connections.

So let me try to smear Romney, the neocon way.
He belongs to a religion that allows a man to have more than one wife. And Romney sounds an awful like Ramadan...
He's a Muslim! And he belongs to al- queada!!! Call Homeland Security!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, wait a minute. Progressives are too smart to fall for that kind of drivel.

When Romney was asked why none of his five military age sons were in Iraq, a war he supports, he said they were doing something more important - Helping get him elected.
Joe Biden should love that.

.
And yet, it's Obama that is labeled the "elitist". Why? Because he is "smart".
McCain graduated 5th from the bottom out of 899 Cadets from the Naval Academy.
McCain talks about his father-in-law. How he barely finishes high school and then created a multi million-dollar business.
Well, to me, selling an addictive alcoholic beverage that has caused whom many deaths and destroyed who knows how many families is hardly something to crow about. McCain crows because it's a hundred million dollars. All he sees is the money. Money is the level of success, NOT how he got it.
This is why McCain holds education in contempt. You will not find a doctor or a scientist or engineer whom "just learned it" on their own without going to school. THEY WENT TO SCHOOL.
Republicans sneer at education. And yet, it's the educated that design Air Craft Carriers, better crops, become doctors, and design nuclear power plants. Everything you see, touch, eat, wear was somehow touched by the educated.
Like Bush says, “Look at me, I got C- and I’m president”. McCain will probably be president. Then he will say, “Look at me. I got F in every class I ever took and I’m president”. How can Republicans not be ashamed? Things that make you go "hmmmm".

By roadgoddessAugust 29, 2008 - 8:00amYour point about education is well taken.
Education should be the cornerstone of our domestic government policies. If we could get a few people in office that viewed a good education as being as important as a strong military the US would truly be an incredible place. Can you imagine the things we could accomplish if the federal government was spending ten billion dollars a month in our k-12 and universities?
Your argument about Mcshame's father-in-law's business is pretty pathetic. A beer distributor is hardly a crack dealer, and your poor attempt to link his business to the tragedies that befall alcoholism and poor personal decisions is just stupid.

Oh huff....I beg to differ. Biden will be the 'decider' in Michigan. The working class is fed up with the policies of the last 12 years. It's time for a change, and rational people are figuring that out.
Did you NOT watch Obama's acceptance speech last night? Do you NOT know Joe Biden? It's time to vote to change direction of this country. So your candidate didn't win the nomination. Neither did mine...he wasn't a "rock star", and he was screwing around on his wife. (I would've voted for him anyway...I like his platform).
Don't vote for party, don't vote for a personality. Vote for the ideals...vote for the change in direction. Romney will NOT carry Michigan, Obama/Biden will. I used to live there in the tri-states region (Ft. Wayne), and if I remember correctly, The biggest obstacle is that: 1) Obama is 1/2 black, and 2) He's a democrat.
Personally, I'm excited about this race. I ask you as a fellow liberal....PLEASE get off the negative and go positive. It's imperative that we save our country from this fascist PNAC regime that has all but completely taken over this country. Remember who the actual enemy is.
