CBS helps McCain cross the street

By SEDER

CBS has done it's best to earn a merit badge this week.

After all, when John McCain doesn't know the difference between Sunni and Shia, thinks Social Security is a disgrace, thinks 100 years in Iraq is just dandy, gets his econmic advice from the architect of our mortgage meltdown, thinks the Iraq government is strong but not strong enough to oust an occupier, doesn't know how to use even email.... why shouldn't CBS edit an interview with him to keep him from looking like a fool?

If his base doesn't help McCain .. the terra-rists will win!

But, but, but... I thought

But, but, but... I thought the left wing media was in Obama's pocket?

There goes another Repub talking point!

-- McCain = Four more years of the same --

Huh?

I understand that the point of this post was to slam John McCain for being old and senile; but only because I didn't actually read it. All the double negatives, meandering links, and syntax errors need to go, dude. Methinks the editor needs an editor.
And this..."If his base doesn't help McCain win.. the terrorists will win!"...falls about thirty yards shy of making any sense whatsoever.

actually

The point of this post was not to slam McCain as old and senile, that was merely me having some fun with the old, deranged coot...

The point of this post was to:

a.  enumerate the incredible amount of ridiculousness emanating from McCain over the past six weeks. (you should view the links as footnotes to establish the credibility of my claims)
b. imply that, not only has the media allowed McCain to skate past these, what should be, campaign ending gaffes, they now bend over backwards to protect him from himself.

"If his base doesn't help McCain win.. the terrorists will win!".

You say you don't get the construct of me suggesting that if McCain loses the terrorists win and that the same applies if his base (follow the link- he's joked it's the media) doesn't help him win?

Have you spent anytime living in the US over the past seven years?

Seder,

You also forgot about McSame keeps forgeting history which he claims came for Ron Regean with the split of the old sovit blocks that have split since 1989, or even that Iraq does not share a border with Pacastain(sp) sorry. I mean he wants to be the leader of this nation and he can`t keep things strait. So I am going back to my earlier conclusion. McSame has altizermers, or as a friend calls it sometimers. Sometimes he don`t remember and when he does remember it frightens the holy crap out of him.

I would venture a guess of "yes", but add that it's probably been too busy sucking on Slurpees® and choking on Cheetos® during American Idol to really pay attention...

instead of wasting your time (and mine) responding to my sarcasm, how about fixing the errors that brought it on. Just a thought. By the way, I prefer Fritos and Mountain Dew; that's right, I'm EXTREME. (cue the death metal)

Funny, I was going to suggest that it's been living in the part of America that has been liberated from reality and you chime in with a Reality show.

There must be something amiss with reality.

doesn't know how to use even email....

How about ODD E-mail?
Your move, Captain Blog

methinks you protest like a douchebag, murdouche

"...even email..." was properly used to convey the level of McCain's lack of preparation to keep up with "the essentials" of his twenty-first century peers.

You too, belong in the slow lane with that antiquated "methinks" hackney.

thus the name jackass

"he doesn't even know how to use e-mail" would've been the proper phrasing of that sentence asshole. This is why nobody pays any attention to you fucking people. Your argument loses credibility when it looks like it was written by a five year old. Sorry

Not only do I agree, but I also found myself thinking the same thing after reading your first post.

douchebag, jackass....thus your name changed...

You still here?. Look, we're not hiring a secretary right now. You can leave your resume (typed, double-spaced) at the front desk. Thank you for your interest. Tah-tah.

Obama only needs to make a montage of McCain's blunders

And air it as a commercial.

Better yet Obama should do what Perot did. Buy a couple of half hour time slots and do a show about it. Get the entire nation to sit down together and watch.

I think we need to stop saying that McCain is a repeat of

Bush. He is more like a repeat of Ronnie Raygun----after the Mad Cow had finally begun to make it obvious he couldn't tie his own shoelaces.

True enough...

But to Cletus and Earline, the fact that Reegann was shitting his Brooks Brothers and letting his wife's astrologer run the country, is somehow ennobling. Best keep up the Crash == Chimp angle. Remember 1996? For a while there, every Clinton commercial, rather than just saying "Bob Dole" said "Dole-Gingrich." And Newty was not, shall we say, the most popular con in CONgress by that time.

You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them.

If the surge is by that logic, responsible for the violence drop

in Iraq.... by that same logic, Bush caused 9/11. Cant say it works in one area and not in the other. Cant, "Have it both ways.". They cant, "Have their cake, and -F-ing get to eat it too!".

If the NY Mayor is in office crime goes down, then its said the Mayor makes it happen. So even if not the reason he gets credit. So if continental plates shift less during his administration... Then according to McCain's logic, the Mayor, with or without evidence is deemed to have made that happen.

But the Right Wing's arguement has been, "Bush was not at fault, even though 9/11 happened on his watch. We're not retards, we sware,".

They even went so far into using the "Way'Back" machine to a grotesque scale, in order, to try to pin that on Clinton, and imbrue and inject some... this cockamaimee notion that somehow"Clinton had Osama in his sights but an order to not take the shot was given" depicted in that ABC propaganda film no one ever saw, into the collective historical memory of the population.

Well, if the surge by that logic is the reason violence is down according to McCain, and not ethnic cleansing and other factors, then also according to McCain, Bush is responsible for 9/11.

McSame is so breathtakingly clueless....

He proudly says Bush should be congratulated for urging offshore drilling and by doing so his words had the effect of knocking $10 off a barrel!

Absurd. Globally nothing Gutless Wuss utters creates a ripple. And anyone remotely aware of oil knows that if exploration started today, the product wouldn't have an effect until 2040 at the earliest.

NBC/WSJ Poll: Obama keeps lead over McCain
By Mark Murray
Deputy political director
NBC News
updated 3:29 p.m. MT, Wed., July. 23, 2008

Obama 48%
McCain 35%
Nader 5%
Barr 2%

McSame flaps his lips and just more drivel seeps out

Oink, oink, oink.

The tumbrels roll, trees sigh at the gentlest breeze. The dull blade of "Trickle Down" rattles in its race.

Another one for your list

Sam -

I haven't had time to scan through all the comments already posted, so forgive me if this has already been mentioned - here's another item for your list of McCain "gaffes" (and one of my 'favorites' so far): during an interview at a recent campaign stop in Pittsburgh, PA, McCain revisited the story of how he "fooled" his captors while a POW in Vietnam - telling them the "names" of the other members of his unit by actually providing the names of the starting defensive line of the NFL Steelers (who had a team that could charitably have been described as mediocre in the relevant year of 1967).

Problem? In numerous previous accounts, including his published autobiography, it was the Green Bay Packers who were named (and were a much more successful and recognizable team at the time). Was he shamelessly and cravenly pandering (again) about one of the most significant elements of the biography he argues qualifies him for the Presidency? Is he just senile? Will the corporate media that supposedly so favor Sen. Obama ever stop covering for him?

A watched clock never boils.

Fair is Fair.

Dear CBS,

I assume you will fire Katie Curric immediately.

Sincerely,

It's all that liberal media bias...

... that somehow only favors Republicans.

Orwell would be proud.

McCain keeps saying Obama is getting all the favorable media attention. yeah, right. Obama can't wait for the next ridiculous Reverend Wright media frenzy/circus to swirl for a month and still end up being only a fraction of a fraction of the horror that is Hagee/Parsley/Robertson/Dobson etc... That's really favorable; like comparing a grain of sand to Mount Ranier. Non-stories that won't go away because of the media; that's considered favorable.

Liberal media bias; when most stations and networks are owned by money-grubbing Republicans. If you believe in liberal media bias, I've got a bridge to sell you. I need the money up front, though. Trust me.

I believe I'm of a similar mind. The Press isn't following Obama out of journalistic love. They're following him like paparazzi looking for a Britney moment.

I'm thinking Obama needs to bring K Fed in as an adviser - maybe even as VP. He's already survived this kind of trial by fire.

5th from the Bottom

McCain graduated from the Navel Academy 5th from the bottom. Some say the class size was 899, others say the class size was 599. 899 is WAY WORSE than 599.

5th from the bottom. George Bush populated the Dept of Justice with people from tier four colleges. They must seem like geniuses to John.

5th from the bottom. I thought the gaffes were because he was just getting old, but now that I know his "academic achievements", that is not being fair to old people.

5th from the bottom. How high the Republicans aim.

McCain is a moron.

He graduated 894 out of 899.

I can't believe Contards are ready to hand over the nukular... I mean nuclear launch codes to a belligerent, tantrum prone cretin who is even stupider that President Shit-For-Brains.

IT BOGGLES THE MIND.

Thanks for those facts, people.

That really tears it.
I am floored.
