Peter Daou is returning to his old aggregation duties at a new Daou Report site (which refreshes too frequently for my tastes), and Steven D reports there on the murder by taser of a 21-year-old when he didn't rise fast enough from a prone position after having his wrists cuffed behind his back. That's right, he wasn't resisting arrest, he had already lain face-down as ordered to be cuffed, and didn't stand up fast enough for the cop, who then repeatedly tased him because he kept falling down and not being able to get up again. Then the cop made up a story about how the victim had resisted arrest and after being tasered "fell ill and told the officers he suffered from asthma and was high on crack cocaine and PCP." As Digby notes, what tasers are really for is teaching people who's boss. They've given the cops the right to terrorize and kill us in our own streets, and it's never anyone's fault but the victim.

I find it amusing that Ron Paul's counter-convention to the RNC has been forced to move to a larger venue to accommodate a larger than expected crowd.

No, liar. What you want is a world where everyone is tracked. Where we are indentured servants to our employers. Where we are told what is OK to read, to watch on television and to see in the theatre, and even if we're not, in your world we will be so afraid of having our library and video records accessed, that we'll obey anyway. You want a world in which the "crime" that gets people executed, is the crime of disagreeing with conservative ideas. A world constantly at war. A world with no mercy.

When you say "working people" who do you refer to? Do you refer to the individual? The person who wishes to rise from where they are to reach higher for the American dream? The person who wants to be compensated (and quite well) for their hard work and ingenuity? The person who is not content to stay in their station of life and accept the cool-aid drinking argument that because of their skin color or their nationality that they don't have to work hard if Big Government is going to take care of them? Or do you refer to the collective masses...? The needs of the many outweigh the rights of the few? You may want to brush up on what the Constitution guarantees and to who, but even more importantly what it guarantees that the Government does not have (which your party wants to Change--aha, there's that word again).
You don't support the working stiff. You're a tenured government employee who rejects the American dream and wishes to keep hard working middle and lower class Americans from earning their way to personal, economic and individual freedom and out of their current situation. You really believe in wealth distribution and will do your little part in the school system indoctrinating young minds to believe that they shouldn't believe that their rights are God given but rather bestowed upon them by their government (which is code for the government can also take them away).

So tell me, how are you able to function at your school on a daily basis without flying into one of your childish, profanity laced tirades when one of your school children disagrees with you? You are another good argument for hard working people to pull their kids out of the public school system and put them into private school.
