Doing Time: Oh Well!

By Ron Kuby

She did not start speaking in tongues, or writhing around on the floor in the throes of religious mania.

She didn't even stumble too badly, except at the rare moment when her handlers missed a talking point--such as when she was asked whether she agreed with Cheney as to the Veep belonging to both and neither the Executive and Legislative branch, and she burbled about the Constitution's "flexibility."  Biden crisply responded by a reference to Article I. It was, perhaps, the best contrast in the actual knowledge level of the two candidates, but it took place over an issue the American people do not understand and about which they do not care.

Sadly, Gwen Ifill appeared so cowed by the rightwing attacks that she refused to pull Palin back to the topic, or to expose her for avoiding it.  And why no question about abortion?

Palin "won" the debate only in the sense that she did not self-destruct.  But she hardly made a compelling case for her knowledge or ability.  As she correcty noted in response to a question, "I've only been at this for five weeks...."

This bimbo's stupidity DOES disqualify her for VP. 'nuff said.

"She's Cheney in drag." Me

She's Bush in drag. Cheney

She's Bush in drag. Cheney is currently running the show and will still be running it if they steal the elections and McCain/Palin get elected. They are the ideal Manchurian candidates.
When the Georgia crisis occurred, didn't you notice that the official statement on the crisis came from Cheney's office, not Bush's?

After what she said at the debate Thursday night

about expanding the authority of the VP's office, I thought she's more like Cheney than Cheney is.

Yes, I did notice that and I kinda had to do a double-take on that one; guess the real president is tired of hiding behind the puppet playing president.

VP Debate

Palin did what she had to do; I wouldn't have imagined it possible. She lacked substance, but avoided the deer in the headlight thing she does so well, which should be enough to fool anyone who wants to be fooled. It's so obvious that a McCain/Palin administration would simply be an extension of the Bush administration and America cannot afford that fate. We must get out the vote; the future of our country hangs in the balance.

McSame's insult to America still stands... Rightwing stunned

A snooze

Bushie!  Doin' a helluva job!
