DALLAS -- Security details at Barack Obama's rally Wednesday stopped screening people for weapons at the front gates more than an hour before the Democratic presidential candidate took the stage at Reunion Arena.

The order to put down the metal detectors and stop checking purses and laptop bags came as a surprise to several Dallas police officers who said they believed it was a lapse in security.

Dallas Deputy Police Chief T.W. Lawrence, head of the Police Department's homeland security and special operations divisions, said the order -- apparently made by the U.S. Secret Service -- was meant to speed up the long lines outside and fill the arena's vacant seats before Obama came on.

McCain and Palin spew such bile and hammer away at the thinnest possible connections between Obama and terrorists, lying and slandering and spreading such hatred that one wonders where the basic Christianity that's supposedly the core of their deeply held family values is lurking. It's not out in the open where we can see it. It evaporates when political gain is on the horizon? How convenient!

The late comedian Bill Hicks had a brilliant bit about being confronted after a stand-up gig by a couple of rednecks who didn't like his political and religious humor: (I'm paraphrasing...)

"Hey, Mister Funny Man! We don't think that stuff was funny! We're Christians, and we don't like that kind of talk!"

"Oh; you're Christians, and I offended you with my jokes? Well, why don't you just... forgive me, then...?"

Even though what Ayers did was illegal, inflammatory, wrong-headed, violent and stupid, it *was* 40 years ago. You don't have to like him or agree with his politics, but he wasn't a murderer-- he killed no one. He surrendered himself in 1980, after years in hiding; the government couldn't put together a case sufficient to send him away to prison, and he's gone on to do to helpful, positive and altogether admirable work for the school system. He's become an asset to his community and an admired and respected advocate for education.

By any definition of the term, he's reformed himself, and yet these self-described "reformers" who repeatedly haul out his name to bludgeon Obama with it are incapable of demonstrating simple Christian forgiveness when it comes to the man and his ability and desire to make a change and to be a positive force.

They talk the talk, but they don't walk the walk, do they?

I am am going to vote for Obama. I believe he and Senator Biden are the best team to intelligently get our country on a better course than we are now on. My dad will NOT vote for Obama/Biden. He is a biggot. When I was a little girl he brought home a black dog and named it nigger. He would deliberately let the dog out of the yard and the dog would run off down the street and he would hollar as loud as he could nigger! nigger!get back here nigger! My dad is an otherwise intelligent guy. A pilot etc. But he is down right sick and irrational about skin color. He thinks he is superior no matter what. Oh well....But I am glad I am not afflicted with my dads sickness. I can remember even as a little girl knowing that my father was wrong for his racism. He could never get me to go along with his KKK and John Birch society bullshit. I haven't talked with my dad for 20 years. I find out how he is doing through other family members.

so he decided to phuck the country's economy.

All of it's connected. The wife of Walter Annenberg, Leonore "Lee" Cohn Rosentiel, who runs the Annenberg Foundation, is the one that brought Obama and Ayers together. She is a long time Republican (who was also very close friends with Ronald Reagan) who has given fundraisers that has raised millions for the Republican Party and she is a strong supporter for John McCain. She hired Ayers along with Obama and about a dozen others for the bipartisan board for her foundation. If it wasn't for her, Obama and Ayers might not have even met.

One of John McCain's biggest contributors, Leonore "Lee" Cohn Rosentiel, employs domestic terrorists, which of course, by association, makes her a domestic terrorist, which means JOHN MCCAIN PALS AROUND WITH DOMESTIC TERRORISTS.

McCain almost sunk an aircraft carrier and he wasn't even trying.

Palin's husband belongs to a seperatist movement that has prayed for the destruction of the US and say they want to "rip" the Alaska star off the US flag.

Palin's preacher, who you can see in Youtube protecting her from "witchcraft", encouraged a town to kill an old lady. Fortunately, she got away, but that makes Palin's preacher a "domestic" terrorist.
