Just listened to repeat of your interview with Hedges. I am a proud atheist, and enjoyed the trilogy of antireligion books which have become popular(Harris, Hitchens and Dawkins). I do not agree with any of their warlike sentiments.I don't agree with you that religious belief is like love and other emotions, as I see religion  is an outdated coping mechanism for dealing with scientific phenomena that weren't understood by primitive cultures. The ancient people invented their gods and rituals to try to cope with natural events that scared them. Or it's just plain lunacy, eg scientology. Go ahead and practice whatever weird religious practices you want-all I'm asking people is to keep it to yourselves. Don't make me listen to your carols and put up with your habits and practices. Religion belongs only in the home or at your church or whatever institution you attend. I don't want to kill religious people, I just don't want to hear about it or have it thrust upon me. I do think religion is evil, and responsible for much that's wrong with the world.

If you saw his recent airplane interview, soon after his Rev's controversy broke out,
you can sense his discouragement and hopelessness, he knows his odds are bad after this episode,
he is smart enough to acknowledge that. 

In the same way that I turn off right wing commentary that I don't want to listen to - I have for the first time turned off your show. As much as I agree with your right to say all the things that you are saying - it sounds too much to me as if you are working hard day after day to undermine the Democratic Party. Yes, yes you can claim to be simply demonstrating what the Republicans will be doing in the election... "Swift Boating" of Obama etc., and going after Hilary's blatant lying about being shot at, but the reality is that the Republicans will have no need to do any of that since you are already doing it for them. Perhaps during the election they will just play clips of your programs. If you had brought up these things, discussed them and then moved on - that would be one thing and fully appropriate. However, droning on and on show after show - harping like a Republican on the ropes - well, at least for today, I'm not listening to any more of this crap.

Add to the fact that quite a few people dont believe in or worship Saint Obama and its an easy choice-one which I hope causes all you people at AAR more than a little unhappiness. 

We dont have to worry Lionel-as you folks have all pointed out on AAR, if Obama is the candidate he will flood the congress with democrats-so Mccain will have to work with them.

The people are just smarter than the turds of AAR Lionel.

I'm so sorry but Obama is not going to win-he just can't get the votes in the general election.

So insult Hillary any way you like-in the end the weight of the facts will crush you.

As an Obama supporter, but also as someone who would still be happy with Hilary got the nomination, some of you people really need to lighten up. The angry comments on this blog are on the edge of almost being hilarious.
