GOP Hold On Evangelicals Weakening

A nationwide poll of 1,500 registered voters released yesterday by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center found that 57% of white evangelicals are inclined to vote for Republican congressional candidates in the midterm elections, a 21-point drop in support among this critical part of the GOP base; the same survey found that the percentage of evangelicals who think that Republicans govern "in a more honest and ethical way" than Democrats has plunged to 42%, down from 55% at the start of the year.

Yeah, froggy, I really think "the actions of a few republicans is really going to change the minds of millions". YOU have to remember the millions of voters you courted the last 2 elections -- "values votes". This is a shot to your base. One of your own is busted for being a predator and YOUR leadership covered it up to save a seat for their party.

It was just a matter of time before you're house of cards came tumbling down. Too bad it didn't happen before 2,737 American troops died in Iraq -- a country that never attacked us and hated terrorists as much as we did.

It's over for you guys.

Ironic, isn't it. You guys built your short-lived power on demonizing people you deem as immoral, and it was one of those types of people who brought you down. You're nothing but a bunch of hypocrites, and the American people now see it. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out.
