Republican Scheme Machine Tactic
Is it coincidence that Freakonomics is on Good Morning America on the same day as Bennett's supposed gaffe linking involuntary race-based abortion with crime reduction?
F. points out the statistical correlation between VOLUNTARY LEGAL ABORTION and falling crime rates -- and that this is the only demonstrable correlation. So women making hard decisions and knowing what is best for their families turn out to be much better at improving society than three-strikes-you're-out, death penalties, zero-tolerance and any number of right-wing agendas. The "compassionate conservatives" do not want that message heard. So what can they do? They send the jihadi Bennett out with his suicide belt to make the choice vs. crime topic too hot to handle.
Very clever.
