McCain definitely has a problem with attracting all but the most virulent conservative women to his campaign, but I'm not sure He knows how badly he has distanced them with his anti-women positions that span backwards to forever, not to mention the way he's run his personal life. The more that centrist women learn about him, the weaker I would expect him to be.

So, that being said, trotting out the name of Heather Wilson, well, not a real serious name, just a little RepubliCON eyewash. But, if he somehow fools us and picks her...well, I hope he has as much luck as the last two folks who picked an obscure sitting Representative.....that would be Mondale/Ferraro and Goldwater/Miller.

But you lost me with Porter? Porter Goss? Or maybe some porter that carries Cindy McCain's baggage?
